PIRATE KREWE INVADES LAND O’ LAKES.

 
Ye Notorious Krewe of the Peg Leg Pirate invaded the Deer Creek Sporting Clays venue in Land O’ Lakes for the Second Annual “Get On the Good Foot” Benefit Shoot.   120 shooters joined the over 30 Krewe members and 30 volunteers from the Zephyrhills HS Jr. ROTC commanded by LTC John Lubbers.   The ROTC provided a Color Guard and the National Anthem was sung by Ms. Kaylee Jaggie.  The Krewe took in more than $32,000 with all net proceeds to be used by the Krewe for the benefit of amputees and their families.

Platinum sponsors representing Cardel Homes, Larkin Contracting Inc. and RingPower were joined by G. David Howard for a pre-shoot breakfast which was catered by King’s Catering.   During the delicious meal G. David Howard “Funniest Man Alive” entertained the Sponsors with a comedic routine that was most enjoyable.  G. David Howard owns and performs at Brewmaster Steak House in Indian Rocks Beach.  To learn more about G. Then 120 men and women took to the course with guns (and safety always on their minds).  When it was all over and the scores tallied, Tim Allen of Zephyrhills took home the Top Shooter Award.  The team sponsored by Nestle Water, NA took home top Team Award.  Recognition was also given Last Place Shooter and Team.

As door prizes, 50/50, and Chinese Auction Items were being announced the shooters all enjoyed a fully catered lunch provided by Roberts Meats and Catering.  It was unanimously agreed that the lunch was great; the shooting, prizes and awards worth the cost; and, above all, the charity focus of the Krewe was one that everyone could support.
