On Friday, August 27, 2010 members of Ye Notorious Krewe of the Peg Leg Pirate were invited to the Wal-Mart SuperStore located in Wimauma. The invitation came from the Store Manager, Rafael Rodriquez. At that meeting Mr. Rodriquez and many of the Store Associates presented a $500 check to Al Martinsky and Terry Huber. This check will make it possible for the Krewe to help enhance the lives of more amputees.
Walmart practices a philosophy of operating globally and giving back locally. They know they can make the greatest impact on communities by supporting causes that are important to their customers right in their own neighborhoods. They are proud to be a "store of the community" for all of the communities served by helping to provide financial and volunteer support to more than 100,000 charitable and community-focused organizations, and by using their locations to provide opportunities for customers and associates to give back.
The Krewe is grateful for their support.
